1st block “Technical Basics” of the online-workshopseries “Technical implementation of digital event-formats” led by Jonathan Kastl & Mario Frank

This first workshop-block offers an introduction to the technical implementation of live-streams and online-conferences. Using practical examples, the speakers will demonstrate functionalities, interaction possibilities and limitations. In addition, the speakers will give an overview of the necessary components of audio- and video-technology and highlight streaming-software, platforms and tools for video-conferences.
The event will take place online (via zoom) and is the first part of the workshop-series “Technical implementation of digital event-formats”. In this three-part online-workshop, the two video artists Jonathan Kastl and Mario Frank will introduce in the technical and organisational basics of digital event-formats. They show alternative scenarios for various artistic practices and answer questions from the participants. The event will be held in german language. JONATHAN KASTL is a visual and sound engineer, videoartist and musician. His artistic work includes media art, video and sound for theatre productions as well as various music projects. As a cameraman and image director, he creates recordings and live-streams for various clients. He also supports artists and institutions in the planning and realisation of hybrid and online-events.
